Date: Apr. 10, 2014

Behind the scenes of new Scion Epic FR-S spot

In early April Scion introduced the 2014 FR-S “Makes Everything Epic” commercial, which we think accurately showcases the experience of driving an FR-S. Today, we’re bringing you behind the scenes for an inside look into the filming process of filming the new spot. As usual, the team was out there early to prepare the equipment, cameras, and lighting for the shoot. Keeping up with the FR-S isn’t easy thanks to its athletic chassis, so to film it moving down the street, we employed a special pursuit vehicle, fully equipped with cameras and monitors that give the director an immediate look at how the image is being framed...

As shown in a cinematic short film and visually breathtaking photographic imagery, the first-in-its-class Quantum of the Seas cruise ship will offer 16 decks' worth of game-changing 'firsts at sea' to a total of 4,180 guests. To achieve that, it turned to media and marketing services company Mindshare to create the groundbreaking short Experience Quantum of the Seas. Brewster Parsons' 3D team partnered with Cut and Run (editorial and VFX) and production company Moxie Pictures to animate the characters in this spot.

Most likely, this video of Macklemore and his Jazzy Jeff shadow Ryan Lewis is a staged marketing effort from TBWA\Chiat\Day LA to promote the 56th Grammy Awards. The two musicians hop on a New York City bus with a boombox and start performing an impromptu concert full of Macklemore’s signature exuberance and corny hand movements. The riders on the bus start dancing and feeling the music – the bus driver even starts clapping on (probably fake) closed circuit footage...
